Sheets and save points
Try a change on a separate working copy, name your save points, and return to any of them.
The Versioning tab lets you try a change on a separate working copy, name save points, and return to any of them.
It needs a screen at least as wide as a tablet.
Three things are versioned
Use the selector at the top to switch between LiveSpec (your specification), Battery (your checks) and Canvas (the technical blueprint).
Sheets
A sheet is a separate working copy. Changes on one sheet do not affect the others.
Start one with + Sheet. Use a sheet for anything you might want to undo as a whole, such as a new pricing rule.
Save points
Each sheet has a line of dots. Each dot is a checkpoint, a saved point. Right-click a dot to:
- Add bookmark name, to give it a name.
- Open in Living Spec, to look at the specification as it was then.
- Restore to this point, to bring the sheet back to it.
Name save points the way you would name a moment: before-pricing-change, client-review-tuesday, draft-1.
Putting a sheet away
Choose Abandon sheet to put aside a change you no longer want. Nothing is lost. Resurrect sheet brings it back.
When two sheets touch the same thing
LobLogix checks whether sheets clash. Sheets that do are listed under Overlapping. Choose Compose to run the check yourself.
A quick view from other tabs
On the Living Spec and TDD & QA tabs, a panel on the left shows the current sheet and its save points.
