Agree the list
Before anything is written, you agree a numbered list of what the application will do, each item with a Done when sentence.
Before LobLogix writes your specification, it shows you a numbered list of what the application will do. Nothing starts until you agree.
Reading the card
The card begins Here’s what I’ll build, followed by the number of capabilities. It has three parts:
- The capabilities. Each is one thing the application will do. Under each is a Done when sentence that says what finished looks like.
- Rules that hold throughout. Introduced by And these stay true throughout.
- Things set aside. Introduced by I won’t build these yet. They stay on a list for later.
A good Done when sentence
It describes something you could check yourself.
- Clear: “Done when a booking for an item already booked that day is refused.”
- Vague: “Done when bookings work properly.”
If a sentence is vague, ask for it to be changed before you agree.
Your three choices
- Change something. Say what is wrong in your own words.
- Agree, don’t start yet. The list is recorded. You can choose Build it now later.
- Agree and build. The list is recorded and LobLogix starts writing the specification.
Where the agreed list lives
In the conversation it appears under What this app does, in groups: Building now, Parked for later and You said no to. On the Your Crew tab it is called the Scope agreement, with its date.
Next: Review proposed changes.
